Designed by cat parents, for cat parents

Stay close to the cat
you already adore.

NekoSense is a lightweight clip-on sensor and a thoughtful app that turns your cat's everyday movement into something you can read — energy, rest, mood, in plain words. No jargon. No gadget wall. Just the two of you, a little more in sync.

NekoSense doesn't replace your vet — it helps you know when to call them.

Count me in

We’ll only write when there’s something worth opening.

Warm light, a curious cat, and the app — stay close in plain sight.

What you’ll hold in your hands

Two simple pieces — a clip-on sensor and an app — designed around your cat's comfort, not a spec sheet.

The sensor

A small, comfortable clip-on your cat won't mind. It tracks how they move — play, rest, routine shifts — gently collecting the motion data that tells a story about their day. Light enough to forget. Thoughtful enough to matter.

The app

Open it like a note from home: a clear snapshot of energy, rest, and mood — translated into words, not graphs. Space for every cat in the house. Updates that feel like checking in, not checking metrics.

Early access · soon
A black cat sits on a wooden windowsill at golden hour, gazing outside past a small succulent, with warm sunset light and soft trees in the distance.

The insight

Over time, patterns emerge — the zoomies after dinner, the long window naps, the subtle shifts only data would catch. It’s the arc of their life at home, building toward something bigger: real understanding.

Yours to keep

How it works

No complexity. Three simple steps, running quietly in the background.

1

Clip on

A tiny motion sensor (IMU) sits flat on your cat's collar. It reads acceleration and rotation — walking, playing, resting, posture changes. No microphone. No camera. Just movement.

2

Sync

The sensor sends data to the NekoSense app over Bluetooth. The app talks to our AI, which looks for patterns — energy levels, sleep quality, changes in routine.

3

Read

Open the app and see your cat's day in plain words. No charts to decode. If something changes, you'll know — and you'll have something concrete to share with your vet.

How it feels to use

You’re not installing a “stack.” You’re making room for a creature who already has a personality, a schedule, and opinions. NekoSense fits that — quiet when life is loud, present when you’re curious.

What you’ll notice first

Energy that maps to real life: play when they’re silly, stillness when they’re tucked in, hints when something seems off. It’s the difference between wondering and having a place to start the conversation — with them, or with your vet when it matters.

What we won’t do

Sell you on fear. Drown you in alerts. Or pretend a wearable replaces a trained veterinarian. NekoSense helps you notice changes earlier — so when you visit the vet, you come with better questions, not fewer visits.

Where we’re going

NekoSense isn’t a finished gadget — it’s the beginning of a longer conversation between you and your cat.

Step 1 — Observe

We start with movement — the richest window into how your cat is really doing. The clip-on sensor captures it gently, and the app makes sense of it for you. This is where we are now.

Step 2 — Deepen

More sensors, same comfort. We’ll never add weight or bulk just to chase a spec sheet. Every new signal we add — temperature, posture, environment — earns its place by making your understanding richer without making the clip-on heavier.

Step 3 — Understand

Our long-term mission: build models that interpret cat behavior in depth. Not gimmick scores — real inference, trained on real data from real homes. One day, the gap between what your cat is doing and what you understand gets a little smaller.

Why I'm building this

I started NekoSense because my cat Vina had a health scare I didn't see coming. She seemed fine. She wasn't. I kept thinking: what if there was a simple way to notice the small changes before they become big ones? That's what we're building — not a gadget, but a way to listen more closely.

“We’re not building another gadget. We’re learning to listen — so that one day, what your cat is telling you doesn’t get lost in translation.”

— Jack Yeh, founder & cat dad
